Ambitious Teen Flourishes with the Help of her L300 Go
Her Story
At just 6 weeks old, Reagan began having frequent seizures. However, treatment to control the problem left the infant with limited use of her left side, and she was also diagnosed with a form of cerebral palsy that affected her muscle movement. As a result, Reagan has been in occupational and physical therapy her entire life.
Yet from the time their daughter was very young, Reagan’s parents have taught her to be confident, to try new experiences, and to avoid saying I can’t–lessons that have helped Reagan flourish.
Her Solution
Taking on Everyday Challenges
Foot drop was an ongoing concern for Reagan. A anklefoot orthosis (AFO) helped but wasn’t ideal. It was uncomfortable and kept her from wearing the same shoes as her peers–not a small concern for an adolescent.
One day, Reagan’s physical therapist suggested that she try the L300 Go Foot Drop System. Reagan and her mom were shocked at the immediate improvements it enabled, and the L300 Go became a regular part of her therapy sessions. In June 2022, Reagan received her own L300 Go to wear at home, school, and beyond.
Her Next Steps
Showing the World ‘I Can’
With her L300 Go, Reagan enjoys new levels of independence and confidence. The 13-year-old has even started a YouTube channel where she is a voice and a connection for people with mobility challenges.
Named one of People magazine’s “Girls Changing the World,” Reagan has her sights set on making goalie on her school lacrosse team and plans to try volleyball, too. Thanks in part to her L300 Go, Reagan continues to inspire others with her positive attitude and relentless spirit.

Indication for Use: The L300 Go System is intended to provide ankle dorsiflexion in adult and pediatric individuals with foot drop and/or to assist knee flexion or extension in adult individuals with muscle weakness related to upper motor neuron disease/injury (e.g., stroke, damage to pathways to the spinal cord). The L300 Go System electrically stimulates muscles in the affected leg to provide ankle dorsiflexion of the foot and/or knee flexion or extension; thus, it also may improve the individual’s gait.
The L300 Go System may also facilitate muscle re-education, prevent/retard disuse atrophy, maintain or increase joint range of motion, and increase local blood flow.
L300 Go is is contraindicated in patients with a demand-type cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator or any electrical implant. Do not use the system on a leg where metallic implant is directly underneath the electrodes, a cancerous lesion is present or suspected, or on a leg with regional disorder (e.g., fracture or dislocation) which could be adversely affected by motion from the stimulation. Use caution in patients with diagnosed or suspected cardiac problems or epilepsy. Full prescribing information can be found in product labeling or at: www.bionessrehab.com/l300/safety-information.
