Success Stories
Thanks to the L300 Go, Sean
Is Back to Enjoying the Simple Things in Life
His Story
After a successful double hip replacement, Sean had finally started feeling like himself again: an active, energetic guy in his fifties. Soon afterward, however, he suffered a stroke that affected the entire left side of his body.
Unable to speak or swallow, Sean began focusing on a range of rehabilitation goals, from moving a finger to relearning how to walk. Although diligent in his efforts, he struggled to fully regain function and control of his left leg and to correct persistent foot drop.
His Solution
Unexpected Treatment Discovery
Sean started using an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) to hold his foot in place so he wouldn’t trip and fall. The AFO was uncomfortable, though; a brace worked better, but required him to wear shoes even to walk around the house.
One night while watching TV, Sean saw a report about a device called the H200 Wireless® Hand Rehabilitation System. He began researching it and discovered that the H200 Wireless has a “sister” device called the L300 Go Foot Drop System. It wasn’t long before Sean had an appointment to try out the L300 Go.
His Next Steps
A Life Changing Moment
The day Sean first put on the L300 Go was emotional. He turned on the device and was stunned to find that it allowed him to walk much more normally. That year, Sean received an L300 Go as a Christmas gift, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Wearing his L300 Go, Sean is now enjoying many of his favorite activities again: taking walks on the beach with his wife, riding his trike,* and going on trail hikes–all without having to worry that he might fall.

Indication for Use: The L300 Go System is intended to provide ankle dorsiflexion in adult and pediatric individuals with foot drop and/or to assist knee flexion or extension in adult individuals with muscle weakness related to upper motor neuron disease/injury (e.g., stroke, damage to pathways to the spinal cord). The L300 Go System electrically stimulates muscles in the affected leg to provide ankle dorsiflexion of the foot and/or knee flexion or extension; thus, it also may improve the individual’s gait.
The L300 Go System may also facilitate muscle re-education, prevent/retard disuse atrophy, maintain or increase joint range of motion, and increase local blood flow.
L300 Go is is contraindicated in patients with a demand-type cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator or any electrical implant. Do not use the system on a leg where metallic implant is directly underneath the electrodes, a cancerous lesion is present or suspected, or on a leg with regional disorder (e.g., fracture or dislocation) which could be adversely affected by motion from the stimulation. Use caution in patients with diagnosed or suspected cardiac problems or epilepsy. Full prescribing information can be found in product labeling or at: www.bionessrehab.com/l300/safety-information.
